“Everyone deserves [love], Things change, but your ability to love remains intact.”
Reese Witherspoon said earlier in December 2010. And what remains intact like this ability is the diamond in the engagement ring.
A rep for the Oscar-winning actress confirms that Reese’s fiancé, Jim Troth, 40, proposed with a 4-carat Ashoka diamond ring set on a pave diamond-and-platinum band, similar to the one above. “In the past year, the retro look in diamonds has been very popular,” said a designer with the company that produced the custom-designed ring. “It’s a very elegant cut and it has an old feel to it.”
It is said that Ashoka stones are rare, with less than 10 percent of rough diamonds each year having the potential to be cut in this unique way, with 62 displayed facets and rounded corners to create a dazzling sparkle.

The 34-year-old How Do You Know actress is wowed by the stunning 4 carat Ashoka cut diamond engagement ring from CAA agent Jim Troth. “Jim wants it to come from him and for it to be completely unique,” a source told media in November.
