Emily Maynard is engaged and her new fiancé has taken the whole affair to a new level. Tyler Johnson, whom Emily met through her church, proposed the ‘Bachelorette’ alum with stackable engagement rings each of which has a different design and style. That is a little surprising but truly, Tyler Johnson picked brilliant stackable bands for the proposal as confirmed by Emily on her website.
Emily mentioned in her blog that she told Tyler for a non-traditional engagement ring and that she only wanted simple bands. And Johnson went ‘above and beyond to say the least’ by choosing four amazing bands for Emily as well as one for her daughter Ricki. One out of the four bands features large emerald-cut diamonds while the other three are thinner, less flashy and probably have sapphires sprinkled with brilliant diamonds.
‘They couldn’t be more ‘me’. I got a good one’, gushed the 27-year-old.
This is Maynard’s fourth engagement and coincidentally, she received four rings. Now that is a nice way to overdo the previous engagement.
It isn’t the first time when we have seen an unusual or extravagant proposal, especially when it wasn’t the first one for the bride. Brad Pitt did the same when he proposed Angelina Jolie with that tailor-made celestial diamond ring. Angelina’s previous engagement ring was just a metal band. While Pitt is an expert in creating outlandish proposal jewels (he did the same for Gwyneth and Jennifer), his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston also received a brilliant rock from Justin Theroux to overdo her previous wedding.
In recent times, Kim Kardashian’s ring from Kanye West is another example to show how to overshadow the previous memories.
All these proposals have unique and more elaborated rings in center. But it is not always required to pay a premium to make the engagement different from the last one. Emily’s rings are a beautiful example of how you can make your proposal different without adding carats to a ring and dollars to the bill.
